Saviak appointed to Judicial Nominating Commission

U.S. Senator Marco Rubio announced to Historic City News this morning that St. Augustine resident and Florida property rights advocate, 39 year-old Carol Saviak, has been appointed to serve as a member of the federal Judicial Nominating Commission for the Middle District of Florida.

Former radio announcer recalls history

Jerry Kass, 96, is a retired Marine and long time resident of St. Augustine. He first visited the city in 1930, moved there in 1937 and has lived across the street from Flagler College, then Ponce de Leon Hotel, ever since.
