Historical Society establishes investment fund
The Saint Augustine Historical Society reported to Historic City News local St. Augustine news desk that their Board of Trustees have established an investment fund from the sale of 24 sketches of flowers painted by Martin Johnson Heade.
Echo House to be transferred to church
Historic City News local St. Augustine news desk has learned that ownership of Lincolnville’s historic Echo House will be transferred to St. Paul AME Church — subject to approval of the city commission.
Largest National Guard deployment since WWII
St. Augustine’s Major General Douglas Burnett was joined at ceremonies in Ft. Lauderdale by Florida Governor Charlie Crist and United States Representative Ron Klein in hailing the courage and sacrifice of the Florida National Guard’s 53rd Infantry Brigade Combat Team during today’s deployment ceremony.

Unpaid furlough: County begins office closings
