Vicky Oakes, St. Johns County Supervisor of Elections, informed local Historic City News reporters today that over 15,000 absentee ballots have been mailed for the upcoming April 7th Special General Election; called to fill the vacancies in Florida Senate District 6 and Florida House District 17 and District 24.

Without proper insurance driver licenses may be suspended
Historic City News received a warning for readers who have converted their private golf cart to a “low-speed vehicle”. Even if you registered the golf cart with the State of Florida, unless you notified your insurance company to update your policy, you are at risk of having your license suspended.

A protest group has formed in St Augustine; supported by some familiar names to Historic City News readers. The organization, Resist 450, have an Internet website and they are engaged in a grassroots campaign to stop celebrating genocide.

Parade interrupts Saturday traffic – detours posted
Historic City News received notice from the City of St Augustine that starting at 10:00 a.m. and lasting for approximately two hours on Saturday, March 14th, the annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade will necessitate detours and interruptions in traffic.
