Trooper JT Rountree reported to Historic City news that Saturday about 3:45 p.m., he was called to the scene of an overturned 1999 KIA Sportage with three occupants on Interstate 95 at the 320 Mile Marker in St Johns County.

Findings in Richard Hedges investigation
Historic City News has been following the allegations against the former Chief of Police, Richard Hedges, since nine St Augustine Beach Police Officers signed a complaint, spanning about seventy pages in length, iterating more than a dozen charges against Hedges and his assistant chief, Dan DeCoursey.

Historic City News received a copy of the summary report from the criminal investigation of former Chief Richard Hedges by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement; who St Augustine Beach Mayor Gary Snodgrass called, “the preeminent organization in our state to conduct an independent, thorough investigation”.

Owner appeals short-term rental decision
Local Historic City News reporters have learned that when the City of St Augustine Planning and Zoning Board convenes tomorrow’s regular business meeting, they will hear an appeal from the owners of one Abbott Tract home regarding a staff determination that concerns controversial “short-term rental” of the property.
