Dear Editor:
Following last week’s news that Renee Morris had resigned from her position as Executive Director at St Francis House, the board of directors are announcing that the homeless shelter has appointed Judith Dembowski to the position of “Interim Director” while a search begins for a permanent replacement.
Executive Artistic Director, Stephanie Burkhardt, has invited Historic City News readers to experience the magic and excitement of the holidays when The Dance Company presents the St Augustine Winter Spectacular during its debut over Thanksgiving weekend.
Historic City News readers will note that at the last meeting of the St Augustine City Commission, on October 14, a presentation was given to the commissioners that summarized the accomplishments and needs of the Stormwater Utility. At Monday’s night’s meeting, a first reading of a new ordinance will be heard.
Flagler Family Medicine and Wellness, located at 130 Health Park Boulevard in St Augustine, informed local Historic City News reporters that they have welcomed David Scott Goins to their practice. Goins is a licensed Physician Assistant.

Dear Editor:
On Wednesday October 23, we held the final committee meeting for our Flagler County 2013 Mock Legislative Session. I was pleased to see what the kids have done with the opportunity that has been given to them.
Laurie Sanderson reported the following St Augustine and St Johns County locations to Historic City News where the Florida Department of Transportation will be conducting roadwork that is expected to have an impact on driving, beginning this morning and continuing through the coming week.
Some weeks, my brain hurts — and this has been one of those weeks.
With this morning’s updates to our publishing platform, we are FINALLY through with annual maintenance of our systems and software, so things should quiet down here through the holidays.
