Dear Editor:
I respectfully disagree with St Johns County Commissioner Ron Sanchez’s assumptions regarding the Health and Human Services Center; currently the subject of his letter that appeared in Historic City News this week.





Historic City News learned that at their regular business meeting on Tuesday, the St Johns County Board of County Commissioners unanimously voted to support the St Johns River Alliance’s initiative to designate the entire St Johns River as a paddling trail or blueway.
Assistant State Attorney Kelsey A. Bledsoe has informed local Historic City News reporters that sentencing for Randal Hart, originally scheduled for 8:30 a.m. this morning, has been reset for Friday, August 2 at 3:00 p.m.
Laurie Sanderson reported the following St Augustine and St Johns County locations to Historic City News where the Florida Department of Transportation will be conducting roadwork that is expected to have an impact on driving, beginning this morning and continuing through the coming week.
Velo Fest Executive Director, Heather Neville, announced to Historic City News that the local community initiative has made progress on their plan to make bicycles a major part of the transportation program for the Mumford and Son’s Gentlemen of the Road Stopover on September 13, and 14th.
Congressman Ron DeSantis, vice-chairman of the Subcommittee on Economic Growth, Job Creation and Regulatory Affairs, informed local Historic City News reporters that St Augustine community banker, Eddie Creamer, testified today regarding the impact that Dodd-Frank is having on Prosperity Bank and their ability to serve Florida’s sixth congressional district.
