Friday night, you’ll have an opportunity to see the remaining three-of-four of the original cast members when they perform live at the St Augustine Amphitheatre.






A man involved in a two-vehicle crash off of Racetrack Road on July 16, died today as a result of his injuries, according to a report received by Historic City News from the St Johns County Sheriff’s Office this afternoon.
Only days before the grand unveiling of the 15-foot statue of Ponce De Leon, donated by Candace Carroll of St Augustine, and the re-enactment of the landing of Ponce de Leon 500-years earlier; Historic City News learned of some devastating bad news.
Assistant State Attorney Jacquelyn Roys informed Historic City News local reporters that the Spring Term Grand Jury has returned indictments against 24-year-old Justin Adam Boyles and 38-year-old Charles Danny Massey, for the kidnapping and first-degree murder of 54-year-old Edward Scott Mullener, Jr., whose last known address was on Hernandez Avenue in Palm Coast.
In 1975, when Dewey Adelsperger retired from the State of Florida, where he worked as Director of Exhibition Buildings for the Historic St Augustine Preservation Board, he and his wife, Marjorie, established the Spanish Bakery. Last weekend, their son, Gene and his wife, Beth, closed the doors after its 38-year run.
Historic City News was notified today that Ann H. Breidenstein, who recently retired as the Executive Director of the United Way of St Johns County, has been appointed operations manager of the local non-profit community initiative, Velo Fest.
Communications Specialist Danielle Berke reported to Historic City News that the St Johns County Road and Bridge department is replacing a deteriorated cross culvert on Wildwood Drive with reinforced concrete pipe, necessitating detours in the area.
