Bansemer next Art in Public Spaces exhibitor
Historic City News has learned that about 15 paintings from the series “La Florida” by artist Roger Bansemer will be exhibited in the Rotunda Gallery located in the St Johns County Administration Palace from August 6 through October 24, 2013.






St Johns County Tax Collector Dennis W. Hollingsworth, CFC, informed Historic City News that eligible local high school students can participate in a free driver education course that will aid students in successfully completing the road signs and road rules exams required for issuance of a learner’s permit.
Superintendent Joseph Joyner, Ed.D., reported to local Historic City News journalists that, based on 140 indicators, the St Johns County School District was determined to be a leader in the state for maintaining practices and policies that foster a healthy environment.
Although no explosive device was ever located, Historic City News readers are being asked to assist the St Augustine Police Department in locating a man who may have knowledge of events that led to a bomb threat; called in to a local convenience store last week.
Thieves in possession of credit cards stolen from a Grant Street woman’s car are beginning to show up at businesses around St Augustine and police are asking Historic City News readers for assistance in identifying those responsible for the crimes.
The regular meeting of the St Johns County Board of Commissioners was held Tuesday July 16, 2013, in the County Auditorium in the St Johns County Administration Palace located at 500 San Sebastian View in St Augustine.
