Flagler student awarded Harvard scholarship

Flagler College reported to local reporters with Historic City News that student Katherine Wrisley has received a full scholarship to Harvard Divinity School.

Peace restored to neighborhood after standoff

Local St. Augustine reporters at Historic City News received an alert at 2:26 p.m. this afternoon that city police officers had responded to a residence on Oglethorpe Boulevard to investigate a suicidal man said to be in possession of a loaded handgun.

St. Johns County Fire Rescue announced to local news reporters at Historic City News that registration will be opening soon for the 2010 Junior Lifeguard program.

Gwendolyn Duncan, President of the 40th ACCORD, Inc., told local Historic City News reporters that a committee has been formed to bring to fruition a Civil Rights Museum in St. Augustine.

List of recyclables increased as of tomorrow

The Solid Waste Management Division has announced to local reporters with Historic City News that, as of tomorrow, all St. Johns County residents will be able to place even more recyclables by the curb for weekly collection.

Renee Stambaugh, President of the Sea Oats chapter of Florida Native Plant Society, told local reporters from Historic City News that this month’s meeting program will take account of “Native Plants That Are Often Overlooked”.
