The St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners has asked that Historic City News invite the community to the Dedication and Grand Opening of the Solomon Calhoun Community Center in West Augustine, planned for Saturday, April 25th.

Historic City News has been informed that Governor Charlie Crist, continuing his commitment to strengthening Florida’s economy, visited a St. Johns County business development expo to promote economic development programs for Florida’s job seekers and businesses.

Deputies with the Sheriff’s Office Traffic Unit will be out in force Friday evening and early Saturday morning in an effort to remove impaired drivers from the road according to an announcement received by Historic City News this afternoon.

According to reliable sources, Historic City News has learned that there were over 1000 people total who attended the Tax Day Tea Party at the Castillo de San Marcos National Monument today between 12:00 noon and 5:00 p.m.
