According to an announcement received by Historic City News yesterday, City Commission candidate Peter Romano, President of the Lincolnville Neighborhood Association, has invited candidates for city office to participate in a moderated forum event.

In an announcement received by Historic City News last week, we were informed that The Republican Executive Committee (REC) of St. Johns County will celebrate the Grand Opening of its new headquarters by extending an invitation to the public for an Old Fashioned Barbecue.

Body discovered near State Road 16

The St. Johns County Medical Examiner’s Office is investigating the cause of death in this morning’s discovery of a white male found lying face down in a retention pond on the south side of State Road 16.

Commission opposed FPL increase

Letter sent to Florida Public Service Commission Historic City News has been provided a copy of the letter sent to the Florida Public Service Commission on behalf of St. Johns County objecting to the proposed 16% rate increase recently requested by Florida Power and Light.
