On Thursday, December 4, 2025, the St Johns County Sheriffs Office confirmed to Historic City News that the “heavy law enforcement presence” on I-95 near Mile Marker 323 was the result of an attempted traffic stop gone bad that spiraled into a full-on manhunt spreading east across International Golf Parkway to US-1 near Abbotts Way.
The St Johns County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a suspect following a double shooting that left two women seriously injured inside a Lena Street residence in St Johns County on Thursday evening, according to a report received by Historic City News.
National Weather Service Jacksonville has informed Historic City News that St Johns County Emergency Management is at “Level-3 Monitoring” status this morning as a result of a low pressure front developing to our east, over the Atlantic Ocean.

The St. Augustine City Commission voted unanimously last Monday, June 23, to accept Commissioner Roxanne Horvath’s plea for almost $75,000 in consulting fees to pay a Gainesville man to “facilitate” the fifteen-handpicked volunteers that will tell us where we want to be in fifteen or twenty years.
