Historic City News readers in St Augustine are invited to become explorers on a quest to discover the important role we played in the making of our nation, by attending each exciting Discover First America adventure program during the coming year.





The First Friday Art walk is one of St. Augustine’s most popular events. The art walk takes place the first Friday of the month, rain or shine. During the First Friday Art Walk you can enjoy exhibits, music, entertainment and refreshments at over 30 participating galleries around town.
As all Historic City News readers are preparing to welcome 2014, I want to take a moment to make a suggestion — drink responsibly and don’t be afraid to call a cab for a ride home.
Administrative Support Assistant, Mary Sims, informed local Historic City News reporters that the Fort Matanzas National Monument will offer four torchlight tours, with limited seating, on Saturday, January 18th; tickets must be purchased in advance, beginning January 4th, at the Fort Matanzas Visitor Center.
