Cause of fatal crash unknown until toxicology examined

A Saturday evening crash on SR-312 left one local man dead and his passenger in critical condition after the driver momentarily lost control of his vehicle, slid into the median, and continued into oncoming traffic in the eastbound lanes; according to information obtained by Historic City News this morning.

Flagler student killed in Friday 13 crash

Flagler student killed in Friday 13 crash

Historic City News was notified of a four-vehicle crash that had the northbound lanes of I-295 closed for approximately 3-hours yesterday, beginning at about 11:27 a.m.. The collision sent the driver and rear passenger to local hospitals in serious condition. The front passenger was pronounced dead at the scene.

Deputies step in to rescue trapped raccoon

Historic City News learned that the keen eye of a 12-year-old boy spotted a young raccoon that had become stranded on Florida Park Drive in Palm Coast yesterday. The small raccoon had managed to get his back right leg wedged between two large branches of a crape myrtle tree.
