Governor Scott’s New Years’ resolutions
Every Friday, Governor Scott sends us a nice e-mail updating us on what’s happened in the state during the prior week, and, this week, it was his New Years’ resolutions. I thought I would share them with our readers.






Paul K. Williamson, the city’s Public Affairs Director, invites Historic City News readers to tune to 88.5 FM Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. when City Manager John Regan stops by “The Break Room” to offer a look ahead to city projects in 2014 as well as a few “look-backs” to 2013.
Laurie Sanderson reported the following St Augustine and St Johns County locations to Historic City News where the Florida Department of Transportation will be conducting roadwork that is expected to have an impact on driving, beginning this morning and continuing through the coming week.
Earlier this morning, Historic City News was contacted by Lincolnville resident, Ronald M Berben, who has announced his candidacy for Seat 4 on the St Augustine City Commission during this year’s election.
Colonel David Brierton, director of the Florida Highway Patrol, is asking Historic City News readers to be aware of, and comply with, the state’s “Move Over” law when approaching an emergency vehicle that is stopped on the side of the road.
Betty Griffin House Community Awareness Coordinator; Kim Brumfield, informed local Historic City News reporters that they will team with Flagler College service organization, Phi Alpha Omega, to promote awareness and public education about stalking.
