Everett H. Fifield, former deputy sheriff under L.O. Davis and Dudley Garrett in the ’60s and ’70s, passed away quietly in his sleep on December 24, 2010, at the age of 81.
“New Year’s Day is a time to celebrate with family and friends, and to look towards the coming year with great anticipation,” Florida Governor Charlie Crist told Historic City News in a special holiday announcement this morning. “It is also a time to reflect on the past year and be thankful for our many blessings.”
