Sallie O’Hara reported to Historic City News that the one-of-a-kind Publix grocery store, built within the Vilano Beach Town Center CRA, has received the Florida Main Street Award for Outstanding New Construction.

Communications Manager Beau Phillips reported to Historic City News today that the US-1/SR-312 Business Council will present the St. Johns County Chamber of Commerce Health Care Reform Summit to help prepare business owners and managers for the effects health care reform will have on their businesses.

This week, Historic City News learned that three members of the Saint Augustine Tea Party have brought a lawsuit in St Johns County Small Claims Court against three members of St Augustine Tea Party, Inc., and Wells Fargo Bank; seeking the return of money they say was taken without the consent of its rightful owners.

During the Friday meeting of the Historic St Augustine Area Council of the St Johns County Chamber of Commerce, President Len Weeks introduced a crowd of about 40-50 members and guests to the two candidates for city commission that will appear on the November 6 ballot.
