Store closing a boon for abuse shelter
About 3 years ago, St Augustine residents Connie May Fowler and her husband Bill Hinson, opened White Peony; a boutique clothing shop focused on American artisan and global fair trade goods. Nearly all of the clothes were American made and those that were not were made by fair trade artisans, local designers, and artists.


Every year, Historic City News reader Jennifer White, and her family, host a free Thanksgiving Dinner at their restaurant, O.C. White’s Seafood & Spirits; to show their thanks for everything the seniors and staff at the Council on Aging do for the St Augustine community.

The City of St Augustine reported to Historic City News that five downtown locations are being fitted with new bicycle parking racks; each new bike parking location accommodates 10-14 bikes and is available for public use – free of charge.
