I could not believe what I was hearing — the City Commissioners voted to spend $1.4 million last night on improvements to the VIC and the import of a Picasso Exhibit to St. Augustine.

Historic City News editor Michael Gold announced that an editorial board will convene on Friday morning, July 20, to interview candidates competing for seats in, or including, St Johns County if their name appears on the upcoming August 24 Primary Election ballot.
According to St Johns County Human Resources, as of May 7, there are 1187 people on the county payroll, excluding employees of the five constitutional officers; and, of those reported, 349 earn $45,000, plus benefits, per year — or more.
