News anchor may face Thrasher for Senate seat

Deborah Gianoulis-Heald is best known for her 25-year career as Jacksonville’s news anchor on WJXT-TV 4, but according to an announcement aired yesterday evening, Historic City News has learned that she may be coming out of retirement to become the next State Senator for District 8.

Traffic disruptions during Drakes raid re-enactment

St. Augustine Public Information Coordinator Cathy DuPont informed local Historic City News reporters today that the reenactment of a 16th century raid on St. Augustine by Sir Francis Drake will necessitate intermittent disruptions of traffic in parts of downtown St. Augustine.
