Flagler Sheriff establishes smoke-free work place
Friday, Historic City News was informed of a new policy went into effect at the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office; prohibiting employees from smoking tobacco, or any synthetic tobacco product, snuff, or chewing tobacco, while on-duty or while attending any agency-authorized training seminar or school.



The joint investigation that began last month into the identity of charred remains found in the trunk of a burned vehicle discovered along a logging road in Flagler Estates has made progress, according to an updated report received by Historic City News today.
A St Johns County man was arrested and charged with possession and sale of counterfeit products Tuesday afternoon; but, Historic City News has learned that the arrest follows three prior warnings from law enforcement investigators which were apparently ignored.
Historic City News was informed that an ecological prescribed burn in the coastal strand between the Intracoastal Waterway and the Atlantic Ocean, directly south of Six Mile boat ramp, is scheduled for Tuesday, July 9, 2013.
The Sheriff’s Office Clandestine Lab Enforcement Team was called to a residence on Fullerwood Drive in North City this afternoon, after police, who entered the residence to serve an outstanding warrant, discovered an active methamphetamine lab inside one of the bedrooms.
Over the past six-hour period, Historic City News has received reports of a fallen tree in the Rivertown Subdivision of northwest St Johns County; that, at one point, had SR-13 completely impassable and has left many residents without electric power.
