Coalition Coordinator Heidi Matheny announced to local Historic City News reporters that the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office received an honorable mention, runner up award for the law enforcement agency of the year, at the 13th National Enforcing Underage Drinking Laws Leadership Conference in Orlando.

Public Information Officer Mark Samson reported to Historic City News that the St. Augustine Police Department has obtained an arrest warrant for a Louisville, Kentucky man who they say used his mother’s American Express card to fraudulently pay for a storybook wedding last year.

Kevin Kelshaw reported to Historic City News today that investigators are attempting to locate the owner of a backpack that was discovered on the side of the road this morning — however, it’s doubtful anyone will claim it.

St. Johns County Sheriff’s media relations officer Kevin Kelshaw informed Historic City News that a couple living in Hastings have been arrested and charged with producing methamphetamine and child abuse.

Willie F. Brantley, Jr. and David Renwick, owners of The British Pub located at 213 Anastasia Boulevard, reported to Historic City News that their manager was robbed of an undisclosed amount of cash while she was closing the pub in the wee hours this morning.
