St. Johns County Sheriff David B. Shoar is asking Historic City News readers for their help in identifying and locating two criminals involved in a pair of armed robberies of delivery drivers during the evening on Monday.

U.S. Attorney Robert E. O’Neill announced to Historic City News today, that U.S. Magistrate Judge Joel B. Toomey sentenced 22 year-old Scott Anthony Hill and 20 year-old Fang Chin Tsai, both of Jacksonville, to serve 24 months’ probation, including one month of home detention, for malicious damage to United States property.

A large number of arrests and crimes involving sexual offenders and predators have been reported to Historic City News in recent weeks; enough to warrant looking a little deeper into the sex offenders residing in St. Johns County.

The St. Augustine Police Department arrested a 52 year-old father for lewd molestation of his 9 year-old daughter while they were attending the Selena Gomez Concert at the St. Augustine Amphitheater last night. A female victim who reported to law enforcement officers that she was fondled as a child and forced to have sex as a teenager, has named a St. Johns County man as her molester; according to an arrest report received by Historic City News.

An arrest warrant was served in Putnam County yesterday against a Hastings man wanted for aggravated child abuse who admitted squeezing a four month-old infant “too hard” because he would not stop crying.

Historic City News has learned that the Honorable Judge Wendy Berger introduced St. Augustine Police Chief Loran Lueders as the keynote speaker at last night’s graduation ceremonies of the St. Johns County Adult Drug Court.

Historic City News local crime patrol reporters received word from Media Relations Officer, Kevin Kelshaw, that a 37 year-old registered sex offender was arrested last night — charged with sexual battery on a victim over the age of 12.
