Three men in custody today following arrests in an early morning drive-by shooting incident in southern St. Johns County, according to an announcement received today by Historic City News local reporters.

St. Johns County Sheriff David B. Shoar reported to Historic City News that a 49-year old St. Johns County man has been arrested on drug charges this morning following the execution of a search warrant at his home.

Historic City News editor Michael Gold spoke to Sheriff David B. Shoar this afternoon to get an update on the double homicide that occurred this morning in what is normally a quiet St. Augustine South neighborhood.

Local St. Augustine reporters at Historic City News have learned that in the wee hours of Saturday morning, Police Corporal Tim Bryan observed a vehicle driving with no tag light in the area of West King Street and South Whitney Street.

Historic City News has learned that there are now two dead after a St. Augustine South neighborhood was evacuated by Sheriff’s deputies and special, tactical teams from cooperating law enforcement and emergency service agencies.

Public Information Officer Sgt. Chuck Mulligan reported to Historic City News from the scene of a fatal shooting on Queen Road that occurred within the past half hour and a manhunt for the shooter is underway.

Historic City News has learned that a St. Johns County grand jury has returned an indictment for first degree murder against 51 year-old Timothy Dale Rose today — charging him with the killing of 48 year-old Jan Dunn Keller who shared a home with him at 1012 Enon Court.

Sergeant Charles E. Mulligan informed local Historic City News reporters that investigators with the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office Special Victim’s Section have arrested a 56 year-old South Carolina man on seven counts of sexual battery of a child.
