Historic City News has learned that relatives of a 63-year-old resident of Samara Lakes in St Johns County reported her missing to authorities last month. Neighbors in the 1200 block of Nocaway Drive say they have not seen the woman since last September.
Following up on recent strong-arm robbery cases in St Augustine, Historic City News has learned that police are scouring the downtown area for video footage at the time of the robberies.
The City of St Augustine was ordered by a Federal Court in 2009 to allow artists to create and sell paintings, prints, photographs and sculpture in public spaces; ruling that such was First Amendment protected activity.
Historic City News was informed that at about 8:23 a.m. this morning, firefighters and paramedics from the St Augustine Fire Department, St Johns County Fire Rescue, and first responders from the St Augustine Police Department and Sheriff’s Office, responded to Cat’s Paw Marina located on the San Sebastian River at Nix Boat Yard Road.
Assistant State Attorney Spencer S. Hathaway, Public Information Officer for the Office of State Attorney of the Seventh Judicial Circuit, confirmed today that Robert Gober, III, formerly a St Johns County Sheriff’s Sergeant, surrendered himself to arrest at the Putnam County jail.
Historic City News was informed that detectives with the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office identified three teens, and arrested two, during a weapons investigation in Nocatee early Tuesday morning.
St Augustine police tell Historic City News that today they obtained and executed an arrest warrant against a man identified in a January 14th armed robbery.
