Historic City News has learned that St. Johns County Commission Chairman Cyndi Stevenson will be the next guest speaker before The Marketplace Christian Professionals group on Thursday, April 9, 2009.

West King Street section closed for repairs

Project Manager Nick Perpich in the St. Johns County Engineering Division reported to Historic City News that beginning today and lasting for approximately the next four months, the westbound lane of West King Street will be closed between US 1 and Palmer Street/Pellicer Lane.

Media Specialist Liz Daube reported to Historic City News that Flagler College senior Jamie Alvarez recently received a leadership award from the Enterprising Women’s Leadership Institute of Florida.

Friday morning shooting

Detectives with the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office Robbery Homicide Unit are investigating a shooting that occurred early this morning at an apartment in the 100 block of Gunby Circle according to a report received by Historic City News from Media Relations Officer Kevin Kelshaw.
