Lincolnville Heritage Festival off to good start
The 30th Annual Lincolnville Heritage Festival got underway today and promises to provide Historic City News readers a great weekend of large national musical acts, gospel choirs, soul food, BBQ, vendors, games, hot air balloon rides and much more.

Historic City News Editor Michael Gold has just returned from the Supervisor of Elections office where political newcomer Gary Snodgrass has defeated incumbent Edward S. George for the City of St. Augustine Beach Commission Seat 5 in a recount conducted by the St. Johns County Canvassing Board.
An alert to Historic City News readers that detectives are attempting to locate a 34 year-old St. Augustine woman who, family members say, has not been heard from since Friday, October 29th.
For many years, Daniel D. Holiday has been known as the preeminent sandal maker on Aviles Street, and, today, as one of the final touches of the ancient street’s makeover is completed, Holiday told Historic City News that the City has finally taken its most important step.

The Police Athletic League and the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office have notified local Historic City News crime patrol reporters that a tip has been received that would indicate a possible scam using their name.
Supervisor of Elections Penny Halyburton announced to Historic City News today that on Friday, the Canvassing Board will canvass provisional ballots cast in Tuesday’s General Election and that there are potentially two recounts in the offing — depending upon the Board’s results.
