Historic City News is joining with the local government advocacy group, “Keep It Local Florida”, in recognizing this Friday, September 6th, as “Local Works Day”; enforcing the message that local government workers help form the fabric of our communities.

Historic City News has learned that at 12:38 p.m. today, the driver of a white pickup truck on SR-207 lost control of the vehicle and slammed into a power pole, downing power lines; but, according to Sergeant Dylan L Bryan with Florida Highway Patrol, no one was injured.
St Johns County Sheriff’s investigators are asking for Historic City News readers to see if they recognize the man caught on surveillance video as he robbed the BBVA Compass Bank located at 1695 US-1 South this afternoon.
