Lecture on Spanish Florida Franciscan Missions
Historic City News readers have been invited by Public Information Director Brian Thompson to attend the Flagler College Community Lecture Series on Tuesday, January, 18th, with a presentation by Dr. John Diviney on “17th Century Spanish Florida Franciscan Missions.”

Jeremy Robshaw, Public Information Officer with St. Johns County Fire Rescue, informed Historic City News local reporters that after consideration of current fire conditions, County Commissioners have adopted a resolution which authorizes the county administrator to extend a burn ban for St. Johns County effective tomorrow.

According to an article presented in The St. Augustine Report, Historic City News has learned that thought is being given to changing the name of the city’s living history museum from “Colonial Spanish Quarter” to simply “Colonial Quarter”.
