St. Johns County Tax Collector Dennis W. Hollingsworth, CFC, tells Historic City News that property owners can expect to receive a tax bill for their share of $349,312,788.38 from the 2010 tax roll beginning Monday, November 1st.

St. Johns County Communication Manager, Karen Pan, told local Historic City News reporters that all branches of the St. Johns County Public Library System will be closed to the public on Thursday, November 4th.

County firefighters receive specialized training

Historic City News has learned that Lieutenant John D’Amour, Lieutenant Andrew O’Quinn, Firefighter Todd Guggisberg, Firefighter Steven Coursey and Engineer Isaac Frazier were among ten St. Johns County firefighters who recently attended a training class on heavy vehicle lifting and stabilization.

Firefighters battle blaze at Island House Rentals

St. Augustine Fire Department Administrative Coordinator, JoLinda Brown, reported to Historic City News that just after midnight yesterday, Engine 44 and supporting officers responded to a major structure fire at Island House Rentals located at 400 Anastasia Boulevard.
