Lincolnville home burns to ground

Historic City News received a report of a fire in the wee hours of this morning that burned a pink two-story house to the ground in the Lincolnville community.

Woman arrested – leaves infant locked in car

St. Augustine Police reported to Historic City News that they have arrested 28 year-old Kristin Thomas and charged her with Shoplifting and Child Abuse.

Peoples First Community Bank failure

Historic City News has been informed by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation that on Friday, they have entered into a purchase and assumption agreement with Hancock Bank, Gulfport, Mississippi, to assume all of the deposits of Peoples First Community Bank, which has been ordered closed by the Office of Thrift Supervision.
