According to information obtained from Florida Attorney General Bill McCollum’s website and records published by the Duval County Clerk of Court, Circuit Court Judge L. Haldane Taylor has ordered a Jacksonville resident and his debt collection agency to pay $1.3 million in restitution and civil penalties for violating Florida and Federal collections laws.

Library Extension Service brings Bookmobile

Beginning in April, the Bookmobile will bring library materials and programming to the World Golf Village and Palencia areas.

Every other Monday beginning April 7th the Bookmobile will be in the Publix shopping center off International Golf Parkway from 9 am to noon. Also, beginning April 9th, the Bookmobile will be available at the Palencia amenities center every other Wednesday from 2:30 to 5 pm.

Pet Adoption Event scheduled

The St. Johns County Division of Animal Control announced that a Pet Adoption Event is scheduled for April 19 at the Starbucks on County Road 210.

The Sertoma Club Thrift Shop off U.S. 1 South will donate all its proceeds from April 27 to the Pet Center.
