Flagler student Daphne Pariser presented her scientific research at the “State of the Reserve” conference held at Guana Tolomato Matanzas National Estuarine Research Reserve; marking the first year that Flagler College faculty and students were invited to present their research findings.

Historic City News readers in St Augustine and St Johns County are invited to attend a one-night exhibition of video art on Friday, March 29 being hosted at Flagler College’s Crisp-Ellert Art Museum located at 48 Sevilla Street beginning at 7:00 p.m.

Historic City News received a copy of a study released yesterday indicating that Florida’s 28 state college campuses generate $26.6 billion in economic activity while providing tens of thousands of young people an education they might not otherwise be able to afford.

Matchbox Twenty played to a sold out Amphitheatre in St Augustine last night; and, local Historic City News photographer, Mark Cubbedge, was part of the crowd of fans there to experience the American rock band’s indelible melodies, crafty lyricism, and glorious hooks that have defined their multi-platinum body of work.

St Johns County reported to Historic City News that the North Beach Walkover located on A1A south of 23rd street, at the North Beach Park, will be closed for replacement beginning Monday, March 18.
