Police marine vessel returns to service
The St Augustine Police Department informed local Historic City News reporters that their marine rescue unit has been returned to service after receiving a generous grant from the St Augustine Port, Waterway and Beach District.


In the early morning hours, shortly after midnight today, Historic City News was notified that traffic homicide investigators with the St Johns County Sheriff’s Office responded to a single-vehicle crash near the intersection of CR-208 and CR-13A South.
Jesse Olbrich announced to local Historic City News reporters that there will be two special events this weekend that should be of interest to the community; tonight, 1740 Siege Night, and Saturday night, Garrison Grand Muster.
Public Affairs Director Paul Williamson reported to Historic City News that the offices for the City of St Augustine will be closed on Friday, March 29 — in observance of the Easter holiday.
