Deputy sent to hospital following hit-and-run crash
A St. Johns County deputy is expected to return to full duty tomorrow, according to Sheriff’s spokesperson Catherine Payne; after a late night crash interrupted his shift and sent him to Flagler Hospital with minor injuries.


Historic City News observed as the St Johns Board of County Commissioners passed a proclamation during their regular business meeting Tuesday morning, recognizing the impact of small business on our economy by designating National Small Business Week, May 12 – 16, 2014.
United Way of St Johns County spokesperson, Nancy Nichols, reported to Historic City News today that in addition to a very significant corporate donation of $208,700, associates from the county’s 12 stores owned by Publix Super Markets, Inc., have also contributed $276,659; for a combined donation exceeding $485,000.
Young Professionals of St. Augustine reported to Historic City News that they hosted their annual “Womanless Beauty Pageant” to raise money for local charities at an awesome event that took place at the White Room downtown.
Two men and a woman, whose images were captured on surveillance video, are being sought in connection with the theft of a Samsung flat screen television, a bed sheet and two mattress pads; stolen from a SR-16 motel earlier this month.
