The St. Augustine Easter Parade was held this afternoon in a tradition which began in 1957 through the organization of the St. Augustine Easter Week Festival.
Man o’ War more dangerous than jellyfish
Weather for the Easter Weekend will be cooperating, offering many opportunities to enjoy our many miles of open beaches; however, Historic City News was informed that St Johns County Marine Rescue is responding to an increased number of calls dealing with swimmers who have sustained severely painful and potentially dangerous Portuguese Man o’ War stings.
FDOT road repairs and maintenance report
Historic City News was notified by Florida Department of Transportation Public Information Officer, Debbie Delgado, that traffic will be impacted at the following St Augustine and St Johns County locations where roadwork is being conducted.
Be alert to lane closures and temporary detours, as well as increased congestion in these areas. FDOT employees and contractors will be working on the roadways and need your full attention.
One driver dies during dynamic three vehicle crash Thursday night
The two-semi tractor-trailer crash on I-95 is largely cleaned up; however, the Florida Highway Patrol Traffic Homicide Investigators are still on the scene and expect to be until about 10:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.

Flagler College reported to Historic City News the recipients of the highest honors in various major areas of study who were recognized during an Honors Day awards ceremony on Wednesday that was organized by the Student Success Committee and College Relations department.
Avoid I-95 south of SR-207 near SR-206 due to crash
Historic City News was informed that all southbound lanes of I-95 south of SR-207 are closed due to a major collision involving two semi-trailers and hazardous materials cleanup.
