In a classic case of the squeaky wheel getting the grease, the City of St Augustine announced to Historic City News that on Monday, July 24th sidewalk projects will be starting as a direct result of residents of two neighborhood associations “providing their input to city staff”.
Historic City News has learned that City Manager John Regan has executed another unilateral decision to eliminate much needed parking spaces in the City of St Augustine, this time in Lincolnville.
Historic City News was informed today that the flags at St. Augustine’s City Hall will be lowered to half-staff on Monday, July 24th in honor of de Aviles Award recipient Faith K. Tiberio who died on Monday, July 17th.
Historic City News was notified by Florida Department of Transportation Public Information Officer, Debbie Delgado, that traffic will be impacted at the following
St Augustine and St Johns County locations where roadwork is being conducted.
Be alert to lane closures and temporary detours, as well as increased congestion in these areas. FDOT employees and contractors will be working on the roadways and need your full attention.
