Flagler College’s Women of Vision Advisory Board announced to Historic City News last week that the fifth annual Power of the Purse luncheon is planned for May 9th in the historic Ponce de Leon Hall.
Historic City News was notified by Florida Department of Transportation Public Information Officer, Allen Nelson, that traffic will be impacted at the following St Augustine and St Johns County locations where roadwork is being conducted.
Be alert to lane closures and temporary detours, as well as increased congestion in these areas. FDOT employees and contractors will be working on the roadways and need your full attention.

Attached you will find two pictures of a vagrant that is well known to the St Augustine Police Department. She’s frequently warned and arrested, she’s been repeatedly treated by first responders and transported to Flagler Hospital.
As St Augustine’s new city commission settles in, one of the pieces of housekeeping to be done each two years is the assignment of liaison positions to various organizations who typically are involved in multi-jurisdictional projects.
Historic City News was informed by the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office that last night a 47-year-old Palm Coast man was arrested on multiple charges including two separate counts of sexual crimes against minors, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and possession of marijuana.
Historic City News readers still have another week to attend Sydney McKenna’s free atmospheric oil paintings exhibit presented by Butterfield Garage Art Gallery. McKenna has grown to become one of St Augustine’s premier artists.
