Local FM radio returns with a new format

On May 24th, Cortona Media, LLC, located in St. Augustine Beach, was granted a call sign change from WSJF to WYRE according to notification received by Historic City News from the media bureau of the Federal Communications Commission.






Patti Henderson reported to Historic City News that, due to air conditioning problems at their regular meeting location, the St. Augustine Tea Party will hold tonight’s meeting at an alternate location.
St. Johns County Sheriff’s media relations officer Kevin Kelshaw informed Historic City News that a couple living in Hastings have been arrested and charged with producing methamphetamine and child abuse.
Dean of Florida School of the Arts, Alain Hentschel, announced to local Historic City News reporters that there will be a variety of performing and visual arts events to enlighten and entertain with the Florida School of the Arts 2011-12 seasons.


A reminder for Historic City News readers that Florida’s back-to-school sales tax holiday begins Friday at 12:01 a.m.

Kenya Kelley informed local Historic City News reporters today that St. Johns River State College will hold orientations for students enrolled for the first time in their dual enrollment program.
