International travelers helping tourist economy
In a review of recent findings of a quarterly survey of emerging market conditions conducted by Bergstrom Center for Real Estate Studies at the University of Florida, Historic City News learned that expectations persist that the real estate market will continue to fall.

Kevin Kelshaw reported to Historic City News today that investigators are attempting to locate the owner of a backpack that was discovered on the side of the road this morning — however, it’s doubtful anyone will claim it.

St. Augustine Visitors and Convention Bureau Communications Director Jay Humphreys informed Historic City News that St. Johns County residents who purchase full-price admission to the St. Augustine Lighthouse ($9.50 adults; $7.50 seniors and children 12 and under; free for children under 44 inches in height) can now receive a pass good for free admission for an entire year. The Lighthouse is now open until 9 p.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights through mid-August.

Florida Department of Veterans Affairs Executive Director Mike Prendergast informed Historic City News that he will announce the appointment of a new administrator for the Clyde E. Lassen State Veterans’ Nursing Home in St. Johns County tomorrow.
