St Johns Cultural Council executive director announces retirement

Barbara McNees, President of the Board of the Cultural Council, informed local Historic City News reporters today that Andrew Witt, executive director of the St Johns Cultural Council, announced to the Board of Directors that he intends to retire at the end of December 2019. Witt joined the Cultural Council in October 2011.

Arrest of a 16-year-old girl charged with threats to kill her teacher

Based on the warrant signed on May 14, 2019, by the Honorable Circuit Judge Christopher A. France, Flagler County deputies took the student into custody and arrested her. She was processed at the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility and turned over to the Department of Juvenile Justice in Daytona Beach.
