Research by Historic City News reporters reveals that the West Point Army Corps of Engineers completed construction of the seawall south of the current Bridge of Lions when Florida was in its earliest days as a territory of the United States.

Palm Coast man arrested in drug operation

The Monday afternoon arrest of a 66 year-old Palm Coast man culminated an eight month investigation by the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office and the Tri-County Narcotics Task Force into a marijuana distribution operation that has connections to the Midwest.

Water boil notice affects downtown area

City of St. Augustine spokesperson Cathy DuPont alerted Historic City News reporters that due to a water main break today, a water boil notice for all residents and businesses in the area of Charlotte Street from Treasury Street south to King Street, and Cathedral Place from Charlotte Street west to St. George Street.

By: Gray Rohrer Florida will send 27 representatives to the U.S. House in 2013, two more than it currently does, thanks to the 2010 Census numbers released Tuesday.

North Florida High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area announced to Historic City News the arrest of 135 individuals and the seizure of almost 17,000 prescription pills and more than $3.6 million in “Operation Growing Pains”.

Communication Manager Karen Pan informed Historic City News local reporters that the St. Johns County Veterans Service Office has received recognition from the Veterans of Foreign Wars; being named Florida’s State Service Office of the Year for 2010.
