Traffic Homicide Investigator, Deputy J.D. McGinnis, informed local Historic City News reporters that New Years Day did not escape a motor vehicle fatality in St. Johns County.
Everett H. Fifield, former deputy sheriff under L.O. Davis and Dudley Garrett in the ’60s and ’70s, passed away quietly in his sleep on December 24, 2010, at the age of 81.
