Condominiums get some help collecting fees

Historic City News has some good news for local condominium owners and condominium associations who face the dilemma of members unable or unwilling to pay their monthly assessment to cover the cost of insurance, pool maintenance, landscape and other common expenses.

Greenfield Drive fire result of lightning strike

St. Johns County Fire Rescue told local Historic City News reporters that emergency personnel responded to a residential structure fire stemming from a lightning strike on Greenfield Drive late Monday afternoon.

In questions answered this morning by St. Johns County Administrator Michael Wanchick, local Historic City News reporters sought to clarify some confusion created by a recent newspaper account of plans for the county to absorb operations of the Anastasia Mosquito Control District.

State Attorney: Goldstein will not be prosecuted

After four months of review by the State Attorney’s Office, it has been decided that Keith Goldstein will not be prosecuted on sworn affidavits from five people at the Riverview Club who allege that he had become more and more aggressive in his harassment of them.

Vilano Beach site of Hands across the Sand event

Ashley Usina invited local Historic City News readers to come out to Vilano Beach and participate this Saturday in the local “Hands across the Sand” gathering to raise awareness about the dangers of offshore drilling and to call on leaders to move America into a clean energy future.
