Evans found dead after winning acquittal

William Telano Evans, 57, the St. Augustine man accused of sexual misconduct, left the courthouse yesterday during a recess and did not return, according to a report received by Historic City News from SJSO Sgt. Charles Mulligan.

Haitian Ambassador to visit city

Raymond Joseph, the Haitian Ambassador to the United States, will visit St. Augustine to increase awareness of General Jorge Biassou, a Spanish officer who lived in the city from 1796 until his death in 1801.

Library Director Debra Rhodes Gibson reported to Historic City News that the St. Johns County Public Library System is celebrating September as National Library Card Sign-up Month to ensure all residents of St. Johns County have the smartest card of all – a library card.
