In a media update received by Historic City News this afternoon, Crime Stoppers of Northeast Florida announced that June 15th marked the start of their new Text Messages program. These “text tips†from cell phones are part of Crime Stoppers anonymous tipster program in St Johns, Volusia, Flagler, and Putnam counties.
On July 1, 2008, Starbucks will close approximately 600 company-operated stores in the U.S. beginning this month and continuing through the first half of fiscal year 2009. According to a listing received by Historic City News from Starbucks yesterday, only the CR 210 store at Nature Walk is including in the first round of cuts.
Yesterday, it was announced to Historic City News that the Vilano Beach Boat Ramp will be under construction between July 23 and October 6, 2008, for a project to dredge the boat ramp’s turning basin and access channel.
