An opening for “Through the Eyes of a Child”, an eclectic and vibrant exhibit featuring the artwork of children from St. Johns County, will be held at the St. Johns Cultural Council’s Art Advocate Gallery on Saturday, May 31 from 5:00p.m. to 9:00p.m. according to a media release received by Historic City News this afternoon.

According to an afternoon interview for Historic City News with Erika Ward, Deputy Supervisor of the St. Johns County Supervisor of Elections office, Candidate Mark P. Miner, one of two Republican candidates challenging the re-election bid of Commissioner Ben Rich, has missed the 12:00 noon deadline today to submit “candidate petitions” in lieu of paying the established qualifying fees — in Miner’s case, $2,443.08.

In an announcement received by Historic City News this morning, we are advised that the St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners will hold a Special Meeting on Thursday, May 29, at 1:30 p.m. in the County Auditorium, located at 4020 Lewis Speedway in St. Augustine.
