McClure draws on strength of local service along road to Congress

St Johns County Commissioner Bill McClure told local Historic City News reporters today that he will draw from the strength of his local service as he makes his way along the road to Congress.



Chief Planner Danielle Handy for the St Johns County Planning and Zoning Division reported to Historic City News that the Steeplechase Comprehensive Plan Amendment was removed this afternoon from the 7/21/2016 Planning and Zoning and 9/6/2016 Board of County Commissioners hearing agendas.
In what was a clearly strategic political move to prohibit St Johns County’s 39,619 registered Democrats, 33,507 registered voters with no party affiliation, and 5,085 voters registered with minor parties, from helping to decide who will win several county-wide offices, there is still one recourse to “regain” your right to vote.
How does a city of about 14,000 residents deal with the fact that fully 30%, or more, of its property – such as colleges, churches and nonprofits – are exempt from property taxes? 


Debbie Delgado reported the following St Augustine and St Johns County locations to Historic City News where the Florida Department of Transportation will be conducting roadwork that is expected to have an impact on driving, beginning this morning and continuing through the coming week.
Ann Doyle, Secretary of the Republican Club of Greater St. Augustine, reported to Historic City News that Monday night, July 11th, they will hold their Congressional Candidate Forum. The program will be open to the public, members and guests. There is no charge for admission.
Surveillance video was released to Historic City News today of two men as they burglarized the Dunkin Donuts, 7400 block of US-1 North, near Palencia at about 9:20 p.m. on the evening of June 30, 2016.
