Monday was the last day for St Johns County citizens to register to vote in the upcoming August elections; and, it was the last day for registered voters to change their party affiliation before the Primary.
Historic City News was informed that at 3:00 p.m. yesterday afternoon, Jennifer Zuberer, Communications and Resources Manager for the St Augustine 450th Commemoration, conducted the final orientation class of volunteers willing to participate in a research project that is said to be part of the Commemoration.
Keith Dunn, the Florida Field Coordinator for the John Birch Society, will be addressing the Saint Augustine Tea Party bi-monthly General Meeting on July 24, according to an announcement received by Historic City News from Tea Party treasurer, Lance Thate.
The American Jail Association notified Historic City News in St Augustine that St Johns County resident Becky Quintieri has completed the requirements to become one of 345 professionals who have achieved certification in jail management through the Jail Manager Certification Commission.


St. Augustine Visitors and Convention Bureau Communications Director Jay Humphreys informed Historic City News reporters that among other entertaining activities, the Bridge of Lions 5K run to benefit Gamble Rogers Middle School will be held this weekend.
Emily Jane Murray reported to Historic City News in St Augustine the following entertaining and educational programs at Guana Tolomato Matanzas National Estuarine Research Reserve during the coming month.
