Faster airport security plan started Friday
Historic City News has learned that St. Johns County passengers traveling through Jacksonville International Airport will find it a bit easier, and faster, to clear airport security since last Friday — if they fall into one of the Jacksonville Aviation Authority’s “preferred customer” categories.

Ryan Murphy reported to Historic City News events desk that the 30th Annual Lincolnville Heritage Festival will be presented by American Legion Post 194 and the Fort Mose Historical Society November 5th through 7th.
Derek Hankerson wrote to Historic City News to announce the 3rd Anniversary celebration of the Haitian Memorial Monument taking place on Saturday, October 9th in Savannah, Georgia.
Sacha Martin, President of the North Shores Improvement Association, told Historic City News reporters that her organization will sponsor a candidate forum for three local contested seats in the November 2nd General Election.
Flagler College reported to Historic City News that Dr. Daniel T. Orlovsky, noted international scholar of Russian and Soviet history, will present a public lecture on campus October 7th.
